Capitol Hill Residence Refresh

This elegant Capitol Hill residence is home to an active family of four – one of whom is a published cookbook author. Her goal with the remodel was to create the type of kitchen that she could proudly host events in as well as use for a test kitchen. Additional goals were to have a new and inviting dining area inside where a dark and traditional dining room had existed and then open up the kitchen to an outside dining area with an “inside/outside” feel. To round out the work, updating areas in the basement for a new guest area with bathroom, refreshing the floors throughout, painting interiors and repairing windows provided the family with an “almost new” home
